Warrior Basin Treasure Hunters Association

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Apply for membership in the WBTHA by submitting a membership application along with a first year fee of $15. Membership is on an annual basis that renews in January of each year with a renewal fee of $10 (special exceptions).

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

  1. Members attending our meetings have the chance to meet others with an interest in the hobby, to share experience and knowledge in metal detecting, to plan joint detecting trips, etc.
  2. Qualified members may participate in "The Members Only" beach hunt at the Oak Mountain State Park, with silver coins, metal detectors and other prizes usually available.  As part of the hunt, members are treated to a free breakfast at Cracker  Barrel.
  3. With certain qualifications, members receive a discount on entry fees to the annual Deep South Treasure Hunt.
  4. Working at the Deep South Tresure Hunt will waive club membership renewal fees for the following year.
  5. WBTHA is a club member of the FMDAC, and our members may apply for membership in this national metal detecting organization through the club ($5 fee paid up front by WBTHA with reimbursement expected from the club member).

 

RESPOSIBILITIES OF MEMBERSHIP

MEMBERS SHOULD:

  • make every effort to attend meetings on a regular basis.
  • volunteer to participate in club matters.
  • support by word and deed the purpose of the club as described in the by-laws, including reporting any reasonable suspicions that others may be violating said purpose.
